Pros: Easy implementation processes. Offers basic features and a mobile app.

Cons: Unable to select a personalized number.

I use ViaTalk currently, which has OK filtering. I can route calls based on patterns or by area codes, sending them directly to voicemail, an authentication check, an out of service msg, etc. But it still falls short for me. For example, I'd like to send all calls from outside my area code to authentication, except those I whitelist. And it would be grand if there was an 'authenticate once' option, where a successfully authenticated caller won't have to re-auth next time they call.

We have ViaTalk VOIP service at the house. They often run specials of $200 for two years (usually it's $200 for one year). It's quite feature-full.

I had ViaTalk for several years. Good quality, but we didn't call enough to make it worth the money. Bought an ATA (phone adapater) and went with voip.ms, and save even more money. But, that being said, we don't use it all that much.

I used to use Sunrocket ($200 or so for lifetime service, but for some reason they went out of business a year and a half after we signed up... apparently their business model needed some work, but we did get our money's worth) and then moved to viatalk.com which we've been happy with for the last 7 or so years. I haven't looked at Vonage in a long time, but viatalk was a much better deal at the time.

I've used viatalk and voxilla in the past and they were reliable and relatively cheap.
