Review:
talkEHR is a revolutionary EHR software suite designed for modern mobile-centric practices. talkEHR's software is fast and user-friendly with a focus on patient engagement. Unlike many other EHR systems, talkEHR gives patients the ability to schedule appointments, access their medical history, view lab results, and submit claims all from their mobile device.
talkEHR scales to any size practice and is augmented with AI-powered voice recognition software to speed up patient encounters and record chart notes. The software is specifically designed to mimic the natural flow of a practice with built-in business intelligence modules, task management, quick charting, laboratory integration, and customization for specialty practices.
Pros:
- talkEHR provides cloud-based EHR software for practices and patients.
- The platform has useful features, such as online scheduling, patient engagement, and electronic prescriptions.
- The software is ONC-ACB and MIPS/MACRA compliant.
- AI-powered voice recognition allows for streamlined processes.
- Laboratory and radiology interfaces are included with each plan.
- The software allows for secure patient messaging.
- As the platform is web-based, it is accessible from any device.
- 24/7 technical support is available.
Cons:
- Electronic prescriptions, faxes, and insurance incur extra charges.
- Electronic claims submissions are not available on the talkPro plan.
- Paper statements and a help desk are only available on the talkUltimate plan.
Reputation:
talkEHR was formed in 2017 and is relatively new to the industry. In 2018, Ryan Howard, the founder and former CEO of Practice Fusion, joined the MTBC group to act as a special adviser to the CEO. This has given the company significant clout, with practices signing on every month. Aside from talkEHR's own client testimonials, no user reviews can be found for the fledgling software.
