Review:
PayCheck ranks a little below average out of all the payroll software we reviewed, due to some feature limitations. PayCheck offers most of the standard payroll features such as automatic payments, direct deposit for paychecks, and automated taxes, but does not have an employee self-service portal.
While PayCheck provides for garnishments, reimbursements, and workers compensations, all of which are not offered by its close competitor Civica HR, it lacks many common features, including W-2 and 1099 form preparation, built-in timesheets, flexible payment schedules, multiple pay schedules, unlimited payrolls, integrated pre-tax benefits, accounting and time-tracking integrations, paperless employee onboarding, digital paystubs, an employee database, and overtime tracking. If you are looking for any of these features, you can look at top-rated companies like Gusto and TriNet Zenefits.
If you are looking for less prevalent features such as 256-bit SSL encryption, which ensures customers' security, or bonus and off-cycle payrolls, you will also have to look at other options such as Gusto or TriNet Zenefits.
PayCheck does not provide information about its pricing plans. If you get a quote, you'll want to compare it to our top-ranked company Gusto, which starts at $40.00 plus $6.00 per employee per month. Be sure to compare your quote to TriNet Zenefits' plans, which also rank highly and start at $10.00 per employee per month plus $6.00 per employee per month for the payroll add-on. You'll also want to compare it to platforms with similar features profile like PayDirt Payroll, which offers its Payroll Pro plan for $1,550.00 per license, and Accent HRP, which starts at a one-time payment of $2,500.00.
