AnimalXYZ hosts Meet and Greet for School Children

Animal rights activist group, AnimalXYZ invites schools to join an event in June to raise awareness about the illegal pet trade.

San Jose, CA., May 12, 2020. AnimalXYZ will host a Meet-n-Greet for school children at the San Jose Zoo on 1 June. The event aims to create awareness about the illegal pet trade in the state and raise money for local rescue agencies.

This will be the second AnimalXYZ Meet-n-Greet. The first was held last year and saw school children from eight schools visit to learn about some of the exotic animals rescued from the trade. This year, there will be more animals than last year, selfie stations, a small food market, and games.

“Last year was such a success,” said Cathy Pawlove. “We raised quite a bit for the agencies. And we know the kids loved it.”

AnimalXYZ has partnered with SavetheLittleGuys, a local animal rescue agency, and MR. LoudSpeaker, the award-winning advertising agency, for the event. SavetheLittleGuys will give a number of presentations and MR. LoudSpeaker will handle marketing and promotional materials.

“The illegal pet trade is something most people give very little thought to,” said Pawlove. “It is vital this issue be brought back into the foreground so that more can be done to stop this abuse of amazing creatures.”

Schools are invited to contact AnimalXYZ to participate in the event.
